The Foundation Opens Legal Offices in the Blyzniuky District

The Charitable Foundation of Social Development in the Kharkiv Region began implementation of the program aimed at making the rural citizens informed of the decentralization reform and offering respective consultations. Two public legal offices of the Foundation will be opened in the Blyzniuky district within the scope of this initiative.

One office will be opened right in Blyzniuky at the address 32 Svobody (former Radianska) Street; the second office will be movable. It is assumed that the legal office “on wheels” will travel across villages of the Blyzniuky district and consult citizens on decentralization. The population will be informed of the volunteer consultants’ arrival in advance.

Laws undergo changes all the time, especially today with the local self-governance reform in Ukraine. As a rule, rural citizens have no source of up-to-date information and no one to consult with in case of questions. For this reason and following the appeal of the community of the Blyzniuky district, we open legal offices there to offer people consultancy and legal assistance. By this we don’t mean that our lawyers will represent interests of rural citizens in courts; they will only do the consultations,” explained the Chairman of the Management Board of the Foundation of Social Development in the Kharkiv Region Yevhen Shapoval.

Public legal offices will begin their work as soon as in March this year. Anyone can make use of their legal and consulting assistance for free.
