The Best Pupils of the Barvinkove General School No.1 Received Gifts from Representatives of the Foundation
The best pupils received presents in commemoration of the school’s milestones. This year the Barvinkove Primary and Secondary General School No.1 is celebrating two anniversaries – 115 years since its establishment and 35 years since it moved to the new building.
Representatives of the Foundation visited the Farewell Bell celebration in the oldest educational establishment of the Barvinkove district. They congratulated the teachers, the pupils and their parents on the completion of the academic year. They wished the graduates to reach new heights and long-cherished goals in their lives, and all other pupils to have a good rest, as well as bright and carefree childhood.
“The Foundation has a project of the Comprehensive Educational and Cultural Development of Children in the Kharkiv Region. Within the scope of its implementation we provide aid not only to this school, but to other educational establishments as well. This spring we presented multimedia equipment for the conference hall of this school; now we are replacing windows there; and in summer we plan to purchase new modern furniture for the facility,” shared his plans the Foundation’s Management Board member Viacheslav Pohosian.
38 excellent students, who are winners of various district and regional academic competitions, received from the Foundation awards for their successes in studying and in sports. The Foundation also presented gifts to three students, who graduated with honors.
Agrofirma Podolivska also provides support to the school along with the Foundation. Its general director Ihor Makarevych, who is also the coordinator of the Foundation in the Barvinkove district, told that assistance to youth and pupils has to be provided on an ongoing basis and that it is under close attention not only of the Foundation, but also of its households.
“In summer we plan to cover the school yard with asphalt, so that the children would have the First Bell celebration in a fresh new yard,” said Ihor Makarevych. “By the way, we have paved the space in front of the entrance hall before the Farewell Bell celebration.”
Teachers of the district highly esteem the aid provided by the Foundation and the Agrofirma Podolivska LLC to schools and educational establishments for children in the Barvinkove district.
“When we apply with a request to make repairs in classrooms or buy new school equipment, we know that both the Foundation and the management of Podolivska will find a way to help us. The fact that pupils of our school demonstrate high level of knowledge is a merit not only of the school’s team, but also of such managers and caring people,” said the Director of the Primary and Secondary General School No. 1 Serhii Chornyi.
The pupils prepared a small concert for the guests of the celebration and invited them to visit other school events.
