Almost six hundred pensioners living in Blyzniukivskyi district will be receiving free newspaper "Nove Jittia" (New Life) in the second quarter of 2017. The Charitable Foundation of Social Development of Kharkiv Region has paid for their subscription.

The newspaper "Nove Jittia" (New Life) is the only media available in Blyzniukivskyi district. Through it locals stay informed about topical local events and important legislative changes in the country. There are more than 3,000 copies of the newspaper printed every run and it can cover most of the district. Thanks to the benefactors, 575 pensioners will be receiving free copies of the newspaper in a similar fashion to the first quarter of this year when The Fund paid for their subscription.

"When the first quarterly subscription ended, readers started calling the editors and asking to continue the subscription. Most pensioners cannot afford the subscription fees, so they have to rely on charitable aid, - says chief editor of "Nove Jittia" (New Life), Irina Voronkina. - As our newspaper recently became private instead of government-owned, which it was previously, we have proposed The Charitable Foundation of Social Development of Kharkiv Region to make an agreement on social partnership - within the framework of this agreement was executed the aforementioned subscription. Both readers and editors are very grateful for that."

Earlier, The Fund has paid subscription fees for magazines for Blyzniukivskyi District Library for children. It will be receiving publications for kids through the entirety of 2017.
